Getting Started
Connect to Clai admin
On completion of the installation of Clai, going to the URL http://localhost:8888 or the defined ADMIN_ROOT_URL in a browser you will be presented with the welcome screen. Click on ‘Let’s get started’ to start the admin tool to start setting up Clai.
Create your admin account
You will now be presented with a screen for the creation of the first administrator account in Clai Admin. Fill in your first and last name, email address that will be used as your user name for logging onto Clai admin, your chosen password then click on create.
Initial project
Once the user is created, you will automatically be logged on and shown the project list in the admin section of the admin tool. The installation will have automatically created a blank project ‘Clai’ for you to use. This admin section of the admin tool is where you can add additional users, configure more granular access roles, create and delete projects, and setup defaults to use in any future additional projects.
Clai does support multiple projects but this requires additional services or modification to some of the existing service settings so to start with use the default project.
Clicking on Clai in the list will then take you into the project section of the admin tool and enable to you start configuring the conversations for the Clai project.
Not using localhost:8888
If the access to Clai admin is not via localhost:8888, i.e. for a Linux based docker host, then you will also need to change the Credentials configuration so that the webchat can connect to the webchat channel.
What’s next?
The next step is to start authoring conversations with stories and rules.
